Google groups for Developers
Back in the old days, Usenet used to be a central place for discussion among developers. It is still in use these days, however its fading away fast. Linus announced its development of Linux on this thread on comp.os.minux
Most of the usenet groups are now archived in Google groups. The discussion landscape is now scattered. There are Google groups, XDA Forums for mobiles and Stackoverflow and other exchange sites for programming, mailing lists for linux and security
